Context & Scope
Worked on thermodynamic modeling of steam systems to support faster and more reliable evaluation of operating conditions in industrial process environments.
Technical Contributions
Developed Python-based thermodynamic models implementing IAPWS-IF97 formulations to compute steam properties across operating ranges.
Implemented Spline Based Table Lookup (SBTL)-based approaches to improve computational efficiency for repeated property evaluations.
Benchmarked model outputs against sensor-based pressure, temperature, and flow data to ensure consistency with real plant operating conditions.
Optimized computation pipelines to reduce evaluation time and improve responsiveness for downstream analysis and monitoring tasks.
Key Engineering Considerations
Numerical stability across phase boundaries, accuracy–speed trade-offs, and robustness to noisy sensor inputs guided modeling and validation choices.
Tools & Methods
Python, thermodynamic property modeling, data validation
